The cost to rent a bike for 1 person under 5 is 3£ over age 5 is 5.50£ calculate the cost of 4 under age fives and 3 over age fives what is the total cost?

Solution -

Under fives total -


4 uder age fives = 4 x 3£ or 3£+3£+3£+3£

3+3+3+3 = 12 4 under fives =12.00£


Over fives total -

3 x 5.50£ or 5.50+5.50+5.50

16.50


The two added together = the total amount

16.50
12.00

28.50



The answer is 28.50£
