Divide fractions calculator
This divide fractions calculator is simple to use and it will help you improve your skill when dividing fractions.
Recall the following rule when dividing fractions:
Invert the numbers for the fraction at the bottom or the fraction on the right of the division sign!
This means you numerator becomes your denominator and your denominator becomes your numerator
Then, multiply as you multiply fractions
This calculator will not accept a mixed number
A mixed number is a combination of a whole number and a fraction and it has the following form:
a b/c like 4 2/3
Therefore, quickly convert a mixed number into fraction before putting them in the boxes
For example, 3 1/7 = (3 × 7 + )/7 = 22/7
5 1/2 = (5 × 2 + 1)/2 = 11/2
6 2/3 = (6 × 3 + 2)/3 = 20/3
Practice makes perfect. Enjoy the calculator!
