Quadratic equation solver

The following quadratic equation solver will solve a quadratic equation of the form: ax2 + bx + c = 0, where a, b, or c are all integers.

X2 + X +

To get started, just enter a, b, and c into the box.

Enter coefficient a into the first box on the left

Enter coefficient b into the box in the middle

Enter coefficient c into the box on the right.

Notice that if a = 0, the equation is not quadratic, but linear.

If the calculator says," There are no solutions," it is because the radicand

b2 - 4ac < 0.

This means that the solution(s) will be complex numbers. Otherwise, the calculator will be able to solve any quadratic equation when the solution is a real number. Practice a lot and enjoy the calculator!
